PCG Designs New PIM Logo

Effective April 1, 2011, Printing Industry of the Midlands (PIM) and Printing Industry of Minnesota (PIMN) has merged. Upon announcement of the merger, Pacific City Graphics began to work on development of the new logo for PIM. Initially when we started the concept our goal was to design a logo that showed the strength and sustainability of print. To illustrate these points we decided to use an origami tree as the icon. The tree is the paper, the paper is the tree.

The board of directors representing both organizations approved the merger, and the new entity will become the Printing Industry Midwest – the 4th largest affiliate of the Printing Industries of America covering Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota.

“A merger of our two associations will benefit members of both organizations by expanding and sharing resources,” said Mark Jessen, President of Jessen Press and Chair of the PIMN Board of Directors.  “The two groups can immediately reduce costs by sharing administrative, financial and other resources from one office located in Roseville, MN.”
